Pacifism

Is, was and will always be the most powerful weapon, the weapon that shielded nations, saved its people and destroyed injustice throughout the ages.

“peaceful protests until victory” the ultimate slogan our glorious revolution began with and took its course. The slogan that inspired a lot of Sudanese artists to improve their skills, create new ideas and give them opportunities to show themselves. Even though protesters were unarmed, yet their talents did the magic and faced the regime’s violence with peace and ruined their hatred and resentment. They proved that creativity is born from the womb of suffering.

The regime didn’t resist for too long in front of the peaceful protest and their system is falling apart. It’s pretty clear that art took a huge role in December’s revolution and it shows all over the country that painters turned the walls into masterpieces so we can guarantee that the next generations receive several messages about peacemaking and to know that there’s a great and successful revolution has crossed by. Meanwhile, to prove that actions speak louder than voices so every brutal dictator can know that the will of the citizens will always win.

Artists did a great job and effort on the walls, the walls that commemorated the martyrs and brought life back into the streets.

In order to establish a successful revolution, to destroy injustice and to create a democratic country it takes a lot of sacrifices, but the most important thing is to put our anger and ego aside so we can achieve what we aim for and do what we got to do PEACEFULLY. However, we need to teach the next generations about it to make them learn that pacifism, mercy and lenity are the key to live a great peaceful life. We saw nothing in the past thirty years but hatred from the former regime and it has proven what Tupac said: “the hate you give little infants f’s everybody”, which means what the society gives us when we’re little comes back to bite them when we grow up and when we wild out, but we were stronger to carry on and face their hatred with peace and we were ambitious about having a democratic and fair country, so we bit them with every possible peaceful way we’ve got.
